Julian’s thoughts on a day-trip to Koggala

Yesterday, we got a tuk tuk and went to Koggala Lake for a boat tour. On the boat tour, we saw a crocodile on an island and we also saw a Buddhist temple.

Then we had lunch at a family seafood restaurant. We went to a beach after the food. It had waves quite far out. We also saw people fishing on wooden stilts in the waves.

Then we went back and it poured with rain. When it stopped pouring, we went out for dinner at the Fort. We had Indian food with lots of naan and curries. We had a lovely view and there were no windows. It was just open. After dinner we went for a little walk and had gelato. I had a yoghurt flavoured gelato.

  1. Gran says “it looks like you’re having a lot of fun on the boat. You might be able to catch a fish on the stilts one day too. Love to everyone. Pokey has been terrific and loving lots of playing with the ball and going for two or three walks a day.”
